Since West County Museum opened its doors in 1993, we have accumulated a large collection of historical artifacts that reflect the people, community, and livelihoods of Western Sonoma County from its early pioneer days as a Mexican Land Grant to the diverse community it is today.
Our artifacts are housed in a Pacific Fruit Express ‘boxcar’ that once traveled the electric rails of the Petaluma and Santa Rosa Railway that helped establish businesses, employment and apple dynasties in West County.
